Abstract Submission
Clinical Conversations:
There are two ways that you can participate directly in the 2012 Melbourne Conference. Conference participants are invited to present either a case study or to explore an aspect of their work through an interactive workshop.
Case Conversations
Time will be made each day to explore the practice of gestalt therapy. We are inviting practitioners from many settings and experience levels to present something of their work for conversation.
There will be three different conversation formats. These are a supervisory conversation with Mark McConville, the use of a reflecting team process and direct case presentation.
Guidelines for the preparation of cases and details of the formats for the conversations will be circulated later this year.
(Please note: Workshops in case-study preparation will be conducted in Melbourne in early in 2012 – stay tuned)
Experiential and Interactive Workshops:
There will be opportunity to present an experiential workshop at the Melbourne Conference. Workshops provide opportunities for participation through discovery, inquiry, creative expression, and dialogue. We hope that the workshops will reflect the diversity of the gestalt community and through them we will hear as many practitioner voices as possible including: trainers, students, recent graduates and experienced practitioners from a wide range of practice contexts and professions.
There will be specific criteria required in the design of the experiential workshops. These will include:
1. Clarity of focus on the conference theme
2. Congruency with the conference process
3. Adherence to the ethical presentation guidelines
More details about submissions will be available soon
