Virginia Edmond MA, Dip. Psych (GINZ), Dip. Tchg, Cert. TEFL, MZNAP. I am a Gestalt Psychotherapist in private practice in Wellington, New Zealand and I am also a faculty member of the Gestalt Institute of New Zealand. Prior to training as a Gestalt therapist I was a teacher of English in the Middle East and in New Zealand. In the 15 years I have been engaged in training and practising Gestalt therapy my particular interests have been body-oriented therapy and, more recently, relational Gestalt therapy. Following my interest in body-oriented therapy I spent two years in a bioenergetics training programme and also travelled to Cleveland to do the Working with Physical Process programme. For the past three years I have pursued my interest in relational Gestalt therapy by attending the Winter Residential run by the Pacific Gestalt Institute in California. I am mother of three adult children and have recently become a grandmother. Virginia can be contacted by email: nzeditor[at]ganz.org[dot]au

Dean Smith Dean Smith, B.A.Grad. Dip. Counselling, Dip. Psychotherapy, Adv. Dip Gestalt Therapy, Dip. Clinical Hypnosis, Dip. Herbal Medicine, Prac. Cert Relaxation Massage, Prac. Cert. Remedial Massage. I primarily see myself as a therapist who works with clients holistically; which is what drew me to Gestalt Therapy originally. However much more has come out of the decision to pursue Gestalt, all of which have been very rewarding. Working as an associate editor on the journal is the latest thing that being in the Gestalt community has exposed me to, I suspect it will also challenge and enrich my life. I have been working in the welfare sector for fifteen years in a diverse range of settings and have training in a range of modalities. Currently I work in full time private practice as a psychologist and a therapist and have a special interest working with mental health and character structure holistically.
