There are numerous formal and informal groups of Gestalt practitioners that exist in Australia and New Zealand. Some of these groups are organised around roles, interests, areas of work; some are closed and others are open to new members. This part of the GANZ website is an attempt to “map” what exists with the hope of supporting connections, developing networks and building community.
Community development is ideally a grass roots phenomenon; there is only so much that leadership can do. This “bottom-up” approach captures to motivating energy behind this process. If you are part of an existing group you might like to include a profile of your group on this page; if you have some desire to form a group or would like to initiate an event in your region the committee for community development is willing to be of assistance.
There are many possibilities in this largely “self-organising” process. Listed below are some ideas that have emerged for community groups. These are offered as stimulants to your imagination.
