Please find below the PACFA Register requirement for each new application.

1.  Supervision.

All new applicants need to provide signed proof of 50 hours supervision relating to 200 client contact hours. If the applicant is applying for a clinical status they need to provide 75 hours of supervision relating to 750 client contact hours along with the initial requirement of 50/200 supervision/client contact hours.

If a member is unable to obtain a signed supervision report a statutory declaration to that effect is to be forwarded to PACFA stating the number of hours the member claims as supervision. In the unlikely event that a member could not provide at least some of the required supervision hours on a supervisor signed document PACFA would require a statutory declaration from a supervision colleague attesting to the fact that they shared supervision space and hours.

If supervision hours were accumulated during the course of training either a letter from the training institute to confirm the accrued hours or a statutory declaration would need to be submitted to PACFA for the hours to be accepted.

2. Transcripts of Training.

It is a requirement of the Register that copies of transcripts of training are held on members’ files. Again, in the event that a member is unable to produce a copy of their transcript of training, a statutory declaration to that effect can be forwarded to the PACFA office. The statutory declaration would need to detail the core subjects taken in the training course. We would be reluctant to accept a statutory declaration for both the required training certificate and the training transcripts in the event that a member can provide neither of the required documents.

3. Client contact hours.

Most members appear to have more than adequate client contact hours on file. In the event that a member is unable to provide evidence of adequate client contact hours it is recommended that they re-create a client contact log from their diaries of past years as part of a statutory declaration attesting to the hours completed.
