Gestalt Training in NZ

The Gestalt Institute of New Zealand (GINZ) provides a Psychotherapy and Personal Development training program in the Gestalt approach to working with people. The course aims to produce competent, ethical and creative practitioners.

GINZ is registered as a Private Training Establishment (PTE) by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). Based in Christchurch, GINZ also operates in Dunedin and Wellington where faculty members are located. GINZ offers a 4-year Diploma in Gestalt Therapy, a one-year Certificate Course and various workshops throughout the year.

GINZ is a not for profit organisation and is underpinned by a Code of Practice Standards and a Code of Ethics including formal and informal complaints procedures.

Professional Accreditation in NZ

Graduates of GINZ may choose to be members of GANZ and/or NZAC or NZAP and register as psychotherapists with PBANZ which was established in October 2008.
