SUMMARY:Race and Racism: From ideology to consequences in client work and colleagueship
DESCRIPTION:This 3 hour webinar will expose how ideologies around race are consistent\, invisible and how racism is reproduced by good people\, with adverse consequences. Central to the scene setting is an understanding of the distinction between racial discrimination (people/organisations treating racialised people unfairly) and systemic and institutional racism that is reproduced as we become habituated in expectation of ourselves and other groups.   \n\n\n\nThe session will adopt a participatory and dialogical approach supported by work on creating a safe-enough environment to lean into the uncertain. He has worked for the Department of Health in regulation and policy.   \n\n\n\nHari is a writer and speaker in his specialist area of social justice\, equality\, race and culture in mental health.
